Based in Melbourne Australia Sarah is a director of performance and moving image. Working predominately in theatre, this 2015 Melbourne Fringe Festival, her devised performance art work ‘Babelism: Love & Memory’ was critically acclaimed by audience participants and industry colleagues alike. She led “career defining performances” in her most recent play, Gina Femia’s ‘The Violet Sisters’. The Blurb magazine expressed that, “Under Sarah Vickery’s direction, we dare not look away for a second”. Sarah’s play ‘The Day the Galaxy Inevitably Exploded and Died’ was nominated for ‘Best of Theatre Award’ at Sydney Fringe Festival, and her production of ‘Pinball’ was well received at Sydney’s beloved Tap Gallery as part of Mardi Gras Festival in 2014. Sarah has 10 years experience directing and producing indie theatre, she studied directing at NIDA (studio) and play-writing with Hilary Bell at Griffin Theatre Co. Sarah is currently co-creating and developing web series ‘Catherine & Katherine’ with award winning writer/director Katie Found.
